Es importante que la Exposición Mundial Canina se celebre siempre “en donde está la acción”. Debería celebrarse en un país que cuente con una organización fuerte y con experiencia. La Federación Cinológica Rusa (RKF) ha hecho un gran trabajo. Los criadores, handlers, jueces y talentosos propietarios han experimentado un progreso increíble en los últimos diez años. Los perros rusos son cada vez mejores. La comunidad canina rusa es muy internacional y la inspiración es, probablemente, mayor que en ningún otro país del mundo.
En los últimos años, las inscripciones rusas han jugado un papel muy importante en la mayoría de las grandes exposiciones celebradas en Europa.
No puedo imaginar otro lugar que merezca más que Rusia y su capital, Moscú, la celebración de una Exposición Mundial Canina, especialmente si no se hace ningún daño al bienestar de los perros o al de los participantes en ningún sentido.
Soy Antropólogo Geógrafo de formación y conozco muy bien la mayoría de los países y sus problemas políticos. Ese es el nombre del juego y ese será también en el futuro.
Nosotros, como Comunidad Canina, vivimos como miembros de nuestras Sociedades, que habitualmente representan importantes aspectos referentes a los animales, personas, etc… Así le pasa también a la comunidad canina rusa. Nosotros no podemos cambiar o decidir a favor de un Gobierno y tampoco en contra del mismo. Como saben, soy de Finlandia. Nosotros tenemos una dolorosa historia con Rusia. Mi abuelo era un oficial y fue abatido a tiros por un francotirador ruso. Las guerras son siempre historias de personas que no se conocen unas a otras. Gracias al maravilloso mundo del perro y a la excepcional gente del perro en Rusia yo he podido olvidar el trauma que muchas generaciones anteriores han sufrido. La guerra se terminó y el pasado es pasado. Ahora podemos conocernos y entendernos unos a otros. Los hobbies y aficiones unen a las personas y pueden hacer un gran trabajo en la forma de pensar. Tengan eso en cuenta y trabajen por ello. ¡Qué lamentable sería que empezásemos a luchar unos con otros en el mundo de los perros! El sentido es entender y compartir un hobby, no dividir y pelear. Los perros están en contra de la guerra, por tanto, no hagamos la guerra.
Revaz Khomasuridze, criador y juez ruso de talla mundial, ha escrito un interesante artículo acerca del boicot en contra de la Exposición Mundial Canina de Moscú. Pueden ler dicha carta en esta misma web. Revaz pone el dedo en la llaga y apunta muy buenas cosas en dicho artículo.
Lo más importante es que la gente de los perros debe ser quien marque la política canina. Finlandia y Rusia han ejercido un papel importante en contra de la “titulitis” en la FCI. Gracias a dicha presión, en el futuro los títulos nacionales serán otorgados exclusivamente en los países de origen de los mismos. Las Caninas Centrales deberían trabajar sólo por el bienestar de los perros y de nuestro hobby. No deberíamos luchar y enfrentarnos, sino trabajar unidos. A veces hay asuntos de política canina que causan cierto daño, como el hecho de dar títulos de Campeón en otros países. Pero necesitamos unos límites y un respeto. La mayoría gana y esa es una regla esencial de la Democracia.
Es cierto que Rusia tiene algunos problemas políticos, como la Unión Europea en su conjunto tiene los suyos y no son menos los que tienen los Estados Unidos. Los derechos de los Gays son atacados en muchas sociedades. Sin embargo, esto no es un asunto en el mundo canino. La cinofilia ha sido siempre muy abierta de mente en esta materia. Las leyes nacionales no tienen nada que hacer en este campo. Rusia, como país cinófilo, ha protagonizado un notable progreso y yo creo que esta es una región de futuro. La mayor cinofilia del mundo merece, sin duda, celebrar una Exposición Mundial Canina.
Yo espero con ansia la llegada de esta exposición y allí estaré. Creo que será un magnífico evento. No tengo razón alguna para pensar que los rusos fallarán en sus compromisos. Una vez más, felicito a la FCI por conceder la organización de esta Exposición Mundial de 2016 a Rusia. Sin duda fue una decisión inteligente. Contruyamos entre todos grandes exposiciones. Nosotros, la comunidad canina internacional, debemos trabajar por el bienestar y el desarrollo de los perros de pura raza.
Mis perros han ganado más de 30 Títulos Mundiales en diferentes países. Este mismo año lo hicieron en Hungría. Hemos estado en buenas exposiciones y en excelelentes exposiciones. En todos estos países hemos encontrado buenas personas y otras excelentes en el mundo canino. Nunca, en este tiempo, me ha preocupado la política local y los asuntos propios de estas naciones. Si tuviera tal preocupación, probablemente no saldría nunca con mis perros de Escandinavia. Todos pensamos que nuestro país es el mejor del mundo. ¡Olvidemos la política y centrémonos en los perros!

It is important that World Dog Shows are located where the action is near by. It must be located in the country where there is strong organization and know how. Russian Kennel Club RKF has done great work. The breeders, handlers, judges and talented owners has done super progress in past decade. Russian dogs are getting better and better. The Russian dog community is very international and the inspiration is perhaps higher than any other country in the world. In recent years Russian entries have a major role in most respected European shows. I could not image any other place that would deserve World Winner Show so strongly as Russia and it´s capital Moscow. National political issues should not have anything to do with the location of the dog world. Specially if they do not harm well being of the dogs or travelers in any way.
I am Cultural Geographer by my education. I do know very well that all the nations have it´s own political problems. That is the name of the game and that will be name of the game also in the future. We as a dog community live as a member of our societies and usually represent important animal aspects and humanity in general. So does the Russian dog community. We can´t change or decide behalf of the government. We should not be punish behalf of the government either.
Do remember I am coming from Finland. We do have a painful history with Russia. My grandfather was a officer and was shot and killed by Russian sharp shooter. Wars are all about people not knowing each others. Because of the wonderful dog world and because of wonderful Russian dog people I have forgotten the trauma that past generations had. War is over and past is past. Now we can know each other and understand each others. Hobbies and interest do unite people and can do major difference in thinking. Let´s keep that in mind and work for that. What a shame it would be that we would start fight with each others in the pedigree dog world. The meaning is to understand and share the hobby – not divide and fight. Dogs are against the war not to make a war.

Most important it that we as a dog people take good care of the Kennel politic. Finland and Russia made great impact in FCI against Champion title inflation. Because of this in the future National Champion titles are awarded in the nation of origin only. Kennel Clubs should work together for the betterment of the dogs and hobby. We should not fight against each others but work together. Sometimes there are kennel political issues that cause a bit harm like awarding Champion titles in other countries. But we need reasonable limits and respect. Majority wins and that is the name in democracy.
Even if Russia as a nation may have political issues……like all the other countries. EU as a whole has it´s own problems. USA has many problems as well. Gay rights are painful in many societies. These are however not the dog world issues. Dog world if any has always been very open minded with these issues. National laws has nothing to do with the cynological world. Russia as a dog country has done remarkable progress and I do believe that is the area of the future. One of the biggest dog world´s in the Universe do deserve World Dog Show.
I am looking so much forward to this great show and I am going to be there. I think it should be a great and huge event. I do not have any reason to believe that Russians would fail with the arrangements. Once again congratulations FCI giving the World Dog Show 2016 to Moscow, Russia. That was a smart thing to do. Let´s build great shows together. We all international dog people should work for betterment of the pedigree dogs. World Dog Show is important part of that all.
Our dogs have gained over 30 World Winner titles in many different countries. This year these dogs did it in Hungary. There has been great shows and greater shows. In these countries there have been great dog people and greater dog people. I never thought I should pay that much attention to nations own political issues. If I would do so. Most likely I would show my dogs only in Scandinavia. As we all think we live in the best country in the world. Let´s forget the politics and let´s keep the focus in dogs.
